Murder Mystery - Scheduled Events

The schedule below outlines the planned Murder Mystery themed events.  It is possible to request to change the theme and or date for your group.

Note: Themes can be replaced by other themes listed	While scheduled once a month, if you would like a different date in the month then let us know.	We will help you with invites for your guests and while the games don't require pre-allocation of characters before the evening, we can help you co-ordinate this as well if you want to assign specific characters.  However, it is not essential people come dressed in assigned character, just in the theme of the event works well and we can assign characters on the night.
Wolfe Creek	January 2021 - N/A 2022- 22 January	Love the outback of Australia? The dust, the long winding roads and the infinite number of places to bury a body? Don't be shy, pay us a visit in Wolfe Creek! ​ The Story: Where is everyone? We all wanted to work on a WA goldfield or in a bar but it seems that we have all been kidnapped and have woken up in some dark dingy cave. Sydney Harbour is a known kidnapper and killer but this time he has gone too far. He thinks he is smart, but he gets killed by one of his own victims. Will your guests be able to escape the depravity of Sydney Harbour and get out of Wolfe Creek? Setting: Wolfe Creek Crater and places in the Western Australian and Northern Territory Outback. Costumes: Guests come dressed as a roustabout, truck driver, bar fly, barmaid, police officer, back packer, serial killer or any other Australian stereotype. ​Normal Use: This is only suitable for a 15+ audience. If you have seen the movie Wolf Creek you will know what I mean!
Hippie Homocide	February 2021 - N/A 2022 - 19th February	Hippie Homicide is a great trip back in time to the flower power era. Your guests will look amazing in their tie dye, bell bottoms and flowers. The Story: We are gathering for the concert of a generation. Woodstock will see 32 acts play over 4 days. 500,000 people will attend and another 500,000 will be turned away. At the height of the Vietnam war there will be a hippie homicide. Theming: The Hippie Homicide story involves characters at Woodstock 1969. The story involves the challenges of running Woodstock, flower power and antiwar protests. Setting: Woodstock 1969. Costumes: Guests can come as their favourite 1960s icon e.g. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix or Janis Joplin. Or they can dress as a hippie, astronaut, soldier, police officer, Rastafarian, politician, flower child, musician or any 1960s stereotype. Normal Use:  16+ Adult Themes: There is mention of drug use and LSD is a major theme in the story. Great for Hen's night, fundraiser or adult party.
Eighties Extermination 1980s	March 2021 - N/A ​2022 - 19th March	The 1980s was a time of Heavy Metal Rock e.g. Guns 'n' Roses and Mötley Crüe. It was a time of awesome movies e.g. The Karate Kid, Sixteen Candles, Back to the Future and Dirty Dancing. If you want the party of the decade then Eighties Extermination is the murder mystery party for you! The Story: We are gathering for the party of the decade. I hear a rumour that Mötley Crüe will be playing and Sixteen Candles are all it takes to bring this party Back to the Future. KITT loves Mötley Crüe and will do anything to meet them. This puts KITT in an embarrassing situation as Donkey Kong and Flashdance watch on. Theming: The Eighties Extermination story involves characters at a generic event. The story involves a performance of Mötley Crüe. As a result you could set your party in a 1980s Disco, Prom, Concert, Party, Reunion or any other gathering of people where a band would play. Setting: A party in 1980. Costumes: Guests come as their favourite 1980s icon e.g. Tina Turner, Axl Rose, the Karate Kid. Normal Use: 16+ Adult Themes: There are no specifically adult themes in this story. The murdered victim has to wear a girl's underpants (taken from Sixteen Candles) and there is mention of the antidepressant Prozac (invented in the 80s). Great for Hen's night, fundraiser or adult party.
Tracy Gang 1920s	April 2021 - N/A​ 30th April 2022	Tracy Gang is a fabulous 1920s gangster murder mystery party theme. People love to dress as gangsters, flapper girls, godfathers and hitmen. Story: "Aiden Abet" the leader of the Tracy Gang developed a scam that netted him $1m. However, once his victims caught on he became a hunted man. The $1m was hidden in the Tracy Speakeasy and when it strangely reappears it leads to murder! Unravel the mystery of the dead man walking, the letters from William Shakespeare and the literary weekend. Setting: The Tracy Speakeasy is a 1920s gangster lounge owned by the Tracy Gang. Costumes: Guests come dressed as a gangster, cabaret dancer, godfather, flapper girl, pimp, cop, F.B.I. agent, scarface, hit man, dancer or any other 1920s style character. Normal Use: Fundraiser, kids 13+, teenage or adult party.
Serial Slaughter	May ​15th May 2021	Serial killers present a whole new world that is so far removed from the every day. Join this depraved gang of cannibals, kidnappers and poisoners as we take a walk through history with a serial killer or two. Story: Mayor Antonio Sanchez is the most creative serial killer around and the others won't have it. This is a story of love, jealousy, blackmail and deceit. Based in Ted Bundy's apartment you might not want to ask "what's for dinner?" Join history's best and most creative serial killers. Enjoy stepping into a new world of crime and murder! Setting: Ted Bundy's apartment. Central Characters: Mayor Antonio Sanchez, Ted Bundy, Katherine Mary Knight, Anna Maria Zwanziger, Jane Toppan, Sarah Jane Makin, John Makin, Edward "Ned" Kelly, Jeffrey Dahmer, Simo Häyhä, Tillie Klimek, Catherine Birnie, David Birnie, Futoshi Matsunaga, Junko Ogata. Costumes: Guests come as police, prisoners, doctors, wounded victims, corpses and any other murderer, horror or death themed costume. Normal Use: 18+ only party suggested.
Hollywood Scandal	June ​2021 - N/A	Hollywood Scandal is a most popular murder mystery theme. People love to dress as the actor or character they have always dreamed of becoming. Some people even have a glamour night with guests walking the red carpet in their black tie finest. Story: “The Star” has descended upon Hollywood and is determined to hit the big time. The only problem is that so have many other beautiful and handsome potential stars. “The Star” creates many enemies in their quest and ultimately this leads to a tragic death in the cellar. Many people are implicated but only one person is the true murderer. Unravel the story of the cellar, the dangers in the gazebo and the love affair that reaches its height just before the party. Setting: A party on Hollywood Boulevard. Costumes: Guests come as their favourite Hollywood actor, personality or character. Normal Use: Hen's night, fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.
Facebook Fatality	July 2021 - N/A	Facebook Fatality is the perfect theme for teenagers or lovers of tech. It includes hacking, murder and mystery! The Story: There has been a terrible murder and the police are hot on the case. The only clues they can find are posts bragging on Facebook. Follow the trail with our mad bunch of tech heads. This story has Facebook, Twitter and all sorts of tech. The movie at the Hoyts Megaplex is over but the murder is only just beginning. Stabbings, ninja skills, hacking and explosions are all a part of the fun. Unravel the clues and see if you can capture a Facebook killer. This story is unique in our set because in addition to a murder, three more of your guests are tragically killed. Is it Larry Page the creator of Google, or Mark Zuckerberg the facebook maestro that is the killer? Setting: The Hoyts Megaplex California. Costumes: Guests come dressed in your ball gown, tux, suit, flannies, hoodies, surf gear, goth, punk, emo, jock, sports player or any other teenage stereotype.​ Normal Use: This is only suitable for a 13+ or adult audience.
Tokyo Terror	August 21st August 2021	Experience Tokyo Terror with this Japanese inspired murder mystery! Enjoy a world of Shoguns and working to death.  This is a timeless classic Japanese themed murder mystery that can be set in any time period. Story: Gaye Shar has been the Emperor’s Geisha for the last 5 years. Sue She and Ben Tohbox have a daughter Kim Ono. Sue She is desperate for Kim Ono to become the Emperor’s new Geisha and bathe the family in honour. Bon Sai has been found disemboweled in an apparent harakiri incident and has fugu poison in his system. Was Sue She's desperation for family honour the motivating factor? Setting: The Emperor's Palace. Central Characters: Kim Ono, May Onase, Kara Te, Gaye Shar, Sue She, Ben Tohbox, Bon Sai, Sasha Mi, Wei L. Hunter, Wes Arbi, The Emperor, Sam Urai, Rick Shaw, Annie May and Di Hastu. Costumes: Guests come as a ninja, karate student, geisha, business person, schoolgirl, soldier or any other Japanese/Asian stereotype. Normal Use:  Hen's night, fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.
AFL Assassination	September 11 September 2021	Are you an Aussie rules football tragic? This is the perfect murder mystery game for you. This game has been played by real AFL stars and is a perfect team function idea. Great for your end of year wind up. ​ The Story: There has been a terrible murder and the police are hot on the case. The clues they can find involve deceit and poisoning. It is the grand final game between the Eastside Falcons and the Westside Falcons. Half time is over and the third quarter siren sounds. Just at that moment The Coach drops dead in front of a TV audience of 8 million people. Was it murder or a heart attack? Given that this is a murder mystery website I am pretty sure it was murder. Gaaaaasp! Setting: The Eastside Falcons' Home Ground. Costumes: Come dressed in your ball gown, tux, suit, flannies, hoodies, surf gear, sports player, umpire gear, football uniform or any other Aussie, football stereotype. Normal Use:  This is only suitable for a 16+ or adult audience. Great for end of season team.
Haunted Horrors	October 23rd October 2021	Love ghosts and ghouls? Then this is the murder mystery party for you. Set in Nosferatu's castle you will love the amazing costumes your friends arrive in. Glass of blood anyone? Story: Set in Dracula's Castle our ghosts, goblins and hobgoblins just can't keep their hands to themselves.  Lies, blackmail, secret affairs, mystery disappearances are just the beginning as this devilish, tortuous and dastardly night of murder unfolds.  You will be sacrificed to scandal and mayhem as you and your fellow ghouls unravel a twisted tangle of undead madness to ultimately be crowned the most vivacious vampires in Transylvania. Setting: A night in Nosferatu's Castle. Costumes: Guests come as their favourite ghost, ghoul or other undead character. Normal Use: 11+ great adult party.
Wild West	November  2021 - N/A	Our Wild West murder mystery takes you back to your childhood days of playing Cowboys and Indians on the frontier. People really have a great time when they dress as a saloon girl, brave or outlaw. Story: “The Sheriff” is the richest man in Farcry and everyone wants his money. When the Sheriff’s will falls into the wrong hands it creates a recipe for murder. “The Sheriff” has underestimated the lengths people will go to for all that money. Many people are implicated but only one person is the true murderer. Unravel the story of the love affair, the baby swap and the sundown shootout that has everyone excited. Setting: The Farcry Saloon in the town of Farcry in the American Wild West 1837. Costumes: Guests come dressed as a cowboy, Indian brave/chief, townie, law keeper, outlaw, saloon girl, madam or any Wild West character.​ Normal Use: Hen's night, fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.
Christmas Capers	December ​18th December 2021	Instead of the same old dull Christmas party where people eat snacks, drink cocktails and talks about work, you could have a murder mystery party to liven up the night. Your guests could dress as characters from the murder mystery party game, which takes place at Santa's workshop at the North Pole. Someone could portray Santa, while others dress as elves, toys, reindeer or snowmen. Story: Santa is working hard to produce toys for the kids at Christmas.  Sounds nice doesn't it?  However former disgruntled employees keep trying to get in the way.  Poison, backstabbing and betrayal are all part of the fun. Central Characters: Candy Cayne, Santa, Mrs Claus, The Sexy Elf, Frank Incense, Carol Singa, Ray Bees, The Sassy Dwarf, Barbie Dohl, The North Pole Mayor, The Happy Pixie, Ghost of Xmas Past, Ghost of Xmas Present, Ghost of Xmas Future, The Brat. Setting: Santa's workshop the North Pole. Costumes: Guests come dressed as goblins, elves, kids, toys, reindeer, Santa, snowmen/women or any other Christmas themed costume. Normal Use: Fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.
